Pierre Bonnet is a highly experienced registered psychologist who has been practising in various clinical settings since completing a six-year Applied Master’s Degree in Psychology between 1975 and 1981. Since 2006, he has served as a registered provider under Medicare, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), and WorkCover, working in medical practices across the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Brisbane.

Pierre approaches psychological counselling as a respectful, benevolent, and non-judgmental professional relationship between psychologist and client, with the client’s psychological well-being as the central and guiding priority. His therapeutic style is grounded in practical common sense and good intention, adapting evidence-based strategies to meet each client’s individual goals, expectations, and unique psychological needs.

His practice focuses on the collaborative exploration and reappraisal of situational stressors and significant life events, helping clients discover new or alternative perspectives that clarify their experiences, perceptions, and emotional responses. Through this process, clients are supported in restructuring unhelpful thought patterns and enhancing their emotional regulation and coping strategies.
