Dr. Jolita Theron grew up in South Africa, overlooking the iconic Kruger National Game Reserve. From a young age, she aspired to build a future in Australia. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 1992 in Pretoria, South Africa, before immigrating to New Zealand in 1996, where she met her husband. In 2005, she relocated to Australia to continue her medical career.

Dr Theron holds Fellowships with both the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners. In 2007, she completed a Diploma of Dermoscopy through the University of Graz in Austria, further advancing her expertise in skin cancer medicine.

With over 20 years of experience in skin cancer detection, treatment, and prevention—primarily in the Pine Rivers region—she is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in this field. In addition to her professional interests, she maintains a personal passion for the arts and sport.
