Dr Emma Scott has been working as a doctor for over 15 years. She completed her medical studies and postgraduate training including GP speciality training in Scotland before returning to her birthplace, Brisbane in 2018.
She has extensive experience in women's health including years as an IUD inserter, and helping women navigate painful periods and endometriosis. She is a member of the Australian Menopause Society and loves working alongside women in perimenopause or with hormonal concerns. She has worked in obstetrics and gynaecology and participates in shared antenatal care and postnatal care. She is also experienced in paediatrics and has completed the Sydney Child Health Programme to further her skills in caring for infants and children.
Dr Emma has developed a special interest in chronic kidney disease, and works alongside the nephrology team at a local public hospital. She enjoys managing patients with diabetes, kidney disease, and cardiovascular health concerns. She is a member of the Australian POTS Foundation and supports many patients impacted by dysautonomia and MCAS.
Outside of work she enjoys yacht racing, running, and mountain biking with her husband and three children.
