Dr Kamil Wegrecki grew up in Brisbane before relocating to Sydney for his medical training. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Notre Dame Sydney. He trained for 5 years in some of Sydney’s busiest tertiary referral centres: Liverpool, Royal Prince Alfred and Westmead Hospitals. His training included placements in Emergency medicine as well as 2 years of surgical training in a variety of specialties including general surgery and ENT.

Kamil decided to return to Brisbane before joining Gympie Road Medical Centre as a Registrar.

Kamil has a passion for all aspects of general practice including chronic disease, minor surgery and paediatrics.

​

He enjoys triathlons and spending time with his three children.

He speaks fluent Polish.
