Micah Bernoff is a Registered Psychologist with over ten years of experience in the Human services industry. He graduated with a Masters of Applied Psychology from The University of Queensland and holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Psychology and English).
Micah has practiced as a psychologist across Australia and has also worked at Manus Island and Nauru Offshore Processing Centers. He has gained experience conducting both individual and group-based sessions in forensic, private practice and not-for-profit settings. Micah utilises a range of evidence-based approaches in his therapeutic work, guided by the client-centered principles of acceptance, safety, unconditional positive regard and empathy. In his clinical work, Micah draws primarily on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy SFT).
