Connie Penhallurick


Connie Penhallurick is a registered Psychologist with over 15 years of counselling experiencing.  She is an open minded and empathetic psychologist who enjoys working with clients to find sustainable solutions. Connie presently works with employees under the Employee Assistance Program, as well as in private practice.

Connie appreciates that personal struggles can have a challenging impact on her clients’ lives and it is not always easy to make a positive change. Her goal is to assist clients to develop their understanding of their situation and to formulate goals and strategies to help improve their life satisfaction. Connie has experiencing working with grief and loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, workplace issues and relationship difficulties.

Connie has worked extensively with a diverse range of adults across cultures and lifespan. In recent years she has focused her professional development and experience on working with couples through disconnect, infidelity, communication and transitions through life’s milestones e.g. post marriage, pregnancy and retirement.

Connie practices from a variety of evidence-based modalities and tailors individual plans to suit clients’ needs. However, she believes that often the client relationship is equally important as the intervention itself. Some of the interventions include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Gottman Couple Therapy. Connie is also registered to offer pre-marital counselling using the F.O.C.C.U.S program.
