Dr Alex Wu grew up in Auckland, New Zealand before moving to Brisbane to study his Medical Degree (MBBS) at the University of Queensland, subsequently completing this in 2014. Since then, he has completed his Internship and Residency at The Prince Charles Hospital and Redcliffe Hospital and was involved in experience in a wide range of Specialties including – but not limited to – General Medicine, Paediatrics, Emergency, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Palliative Care, Rehabilitation, Psychiatry.
Following work as Senior House Officer at the Redcliffe Hospital, Dr Wu decided it was time to make the leap towards General Practice training under the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Being already familiar with the North Brisbane area and the operation of the local hospitals, he joined the Gympie Road Medical Centre team in 2019 as his second year working as a General Practice Registrar. He looks forward to getting to know many new patients in the area.
His other skills include fluency in Mandarin and the ability to resist coffee (but not so much chocolate).
