Can I cancel or change an appointment?
You can cancel or change your Gympie Road Medical Centre appointment without incurring any fees, as long as you give us at least two hours’ notice. To cancel or change your appointment please phone us on 07 33388828.
Missed or cancelled appointments with less than two hours’ notice will incur a fee of $50. No part of this fee can be claimed back from Medicare.
Does skin check appointments be bulk billed?
Gympie Road Medical offers bulk billed skin check appointments to all patients with a current Medicare card.
Are there any other fees?
Procedures, wound dressings and the use of medical consumables as part of your treatment will attract a fee.
Does allied health visits be bulk billed?
Gympie Road Medical Centre offers a wide range of onsite allied health services. As a way of helping patients who need frequent treatment, we offer bulk billing allied health visits for patients with a chronic illness or complex health issues through a GP care plan.
Patients with indigenous background might also be eligible to assess bulk billing allied health visits through a health assessment.
Any other allied health visits rather than above situations will attract a GAP fee. Please talk to our friendly staff for more information.
How can I make payment?
Gympie Road Medical Centre accepts payment via cash, EFTPOS or credit and an immediate Medicare rebate is accessible through our payment facility. Payment can also be made over the phone by credit card for invoices or non-attendance items. Speak to our team for more information.
Fees should be paid immediately and no further appointments can be made while fees are outstanding. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please speak to one of our team at your earliest convenience.
Is there a charge if I need my doctor to sign a form?
Medicare considers some government forms to be eligible for completion during a consultation and can be bulk billed. In all other circumstances, completing and signing forms will incur an additional fee, which will not be eligible for a Medicare rebate. When making an appointment, please let our team know which form you want to complete with your doctor to allow enough time and for information about any fees.
